Ahh...enough french for today!

Well I read this article and I felt obliged to post it here, with my comments.

Since I'm leaving for France next summer...

法国在人们印象中是一个浪漫的国度——人们生活水平高，更有着高品位的生活情趣。

当然印象中的不一定是真实的，真实的法国只有到了当地才能体会到，对于那些中国去法国的留学生们犹是如此。法国不是只有浪漫，生活依然充满着甜酸苦辣，一起来看看这13件不到法国不会深切知道的事儿吧。

 

▓ 一、法语不努力学，是掌握不了的

出国以前我以为到了国外，有了语言环境，自己会不费力地通过语言关。然而，除了小孩子，成年人欲消除语言障碍谈何容易？所以想留学学语言的同学一定要保持清醒的认识，和刻苦学习的态度。

(Comments: I'm working hard for it.)

▓ 二、在国外完全脱离华人圈，是不大可能的

国内人有这样的误解：到了国外，交的是西人朋友，接触的是西文，吃的是西餐……其实，除了华人稀少的城镇，以及生活于校园内，或者嫁了老外，在中心大城市，你的生活范围很大程度是中国人圈子。

▓ 三、巴黎不但是我们心目中的魅力之都，浪漫之都，同时她还是中国留学生心目中的恐怖之都和疲惫之都

在巴黎的中国学生，有相当比例的同学遭受过被偷，被抢等经历。这在国内是没有听说过的，我们只知道纽约是犯罪之城，没想到巴黎也这样。

(Comments: I see. I've watched "Paris je t'aime" and I do know this fact. I hope Montpellier is of better security...anyway, I want to return home safe and see Mom.)

▓ 四、法国是一个“劫富济穷”的国家

比如房补，收入高的人补助低，收入低的人补助高；再比如托儿所费用，收入高的人交费高，收入低的人交费低。

(Comments: Obviously, we exchanging students are poor people.)

▓ 五、法国领最低生活保障的人也有个汽车开

因为这里的二手车很便宜：最差的500欧，好点的1000－2000欧。汽油费，节省点，一个月50多，比两个人的公车月票还便宜。汽车保险，差的车子500－1500欧。

▓ 六、法国的中餐馆，很多是越南人开的.

(Comments: Screw them. La cuisine chinoise est inrremplaçable!!)

▓ 七、西方政要，没有什么可神秘的

我有一次听一个讲座，有市长之类的政府人员。市长也是自己拿着杯子到厕所接水喝，根本没人伺候。再看看新闻，总理进政府大楼也要先和门卫握个手。

(Comments: That's quite different from Chinese case...anyway, this helps us to learn more about France.)

▓ 八、与西方人交往，并非想象得那么容易

国内人以为我们在国外都有一些西方人朋友，其实不然，与西方人较深层次地交往，除了语言的差异，更重要的是文化的隔阂。谁都对身边事务的关心程度甚于外域，普通西方人热衷中国文化、渴望结识华人朋友的少之又少，“物以类聚，人以群分”，在哪里都一样。

(Comments: So I'm really lucky to have met...^^We have culture gaps, but still. )

▓ 九、汽车洋房，不是可望而不可及的

过去国内报章经常报导某某“海外爱国人士”，如何放弃国外优越的生活，放弃汽车洋房，毅然决然回归祖国云云。原来在国外，只要你是劳动者，汽车洋房人人有份。

▓ 十、中国学生也享受部分国民待遇

也就是说，除了政治权利外，那些补助什么的都有。

(Comments: As Mr. Markho said, we have the APL. And if a girl and a boy live together, they'll get more money. Well, kind of weird...are they encouraging cohabitation?)

▓ 十一、罢工、游行常常有

在法国，每年你都会遇到不少游行示威。事无大小，都可以上街示威。在八几年以前，罢工的日子还照发工资，后来才改了。

(Comments: Quite french.)

▓ 十二、法国的人口男女比例，是女性占上风的

和我国正好相反。

(Comments: If only Chinese boys were more considerate! Male and female, we are born equal!...I'm not complaining)

▓ 十三、法国人每年都会度假

一般有5周带薪假期。所以在7，8月份，一般城市的人口都会骤减。

(Comments: I'm making plans for trips! Haha...I guess our VISA is available in all countries of EU but I'm not sure~)

Life is full of hope.

There are not only tragedies in life.

 

OK, Charlie, stop criticizing me.

I know you're upset, but we cannot change their desicion, although this is really a tragedy. We've been quarreling about it for 1 year, haven't we?

Firstly, they are my parents!

Secondly, you're "partially" responsible for my failure in NCEE. Yeah, I shouldn't have blamed you but this is true. You knew how I wished to go to Tsinghua University and to live in Beijing. When I told you my failure, so sad and disappointed, you just told me to stay in Changchun...you're never used to comforting people...

What's more, it has been almost 2 year since we've been separated! Isn't it quite a long time for us to recover?

After all, I don't think you have the right to interfere with my personal life now. To whom I've been talking, for whom I've got feelings, with whom I'm going out for KARAOKE, these are not your business. In fact, you've got 5 nicer girls running after you, so...please just stop.

I believe that you've already known what kind of boy I'm looking for, since you've known me for 4 years.

This reminds me of the "Proust Questionnaire" we've done in french class. People just kept asking each other "Votre mari(femme) idéal(e)?"

Well he should be...

Serious, ambitious and competitive at work.

Optimistic and tolerant in life.

Has a harmless-to-health way to distract pressure.

Considerate, which means:

1/Never forces me to do things I don't like or imposes his own ideas on me.

2/When I'm feeling sad, he'll hold me in his arms and listen to me. Or at least, give me a hankerchief.

Knows how to cook.

Taller than me.(I'm 1.68m with high-heeled shoes)

Not too elder or too younger than me. (1~8 years elder, <1 year younger than me)

Cares for his buddies more than women but still respects the equality between men and women.

Good at a certain kind of sport and knows how to play a piece of instrument(violin/guitar/piano...all will do).

Understands my weirdness.

Accepts my family and my acquaintances.

Popular among his friends.

Voilà.
